The team picnic was a super fun. There were lots of food, water guns and balloons.  It was especially nice that kids were so happy to see one another and got to meet new skating members.  Here are some photos that we received from Angelina's family.

June 3, 2018: 32ND ANNUAL ISI TEAM FIGURE SKATING COMPETITION

The Riverbank Figure Skating Club's inaugural figure skating competition was a success! The team brought 4 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze Medals.

Inaugural Competition - June 1, 2018

Our skating team officially became a competitive skating team this weekend as we competed at the 32ND ANNUAL ISI TEAM FIGURE SKATING COMPETITION which took place at the Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers, NYC from June 1 through June 3, 2018.

Volunteering Opportunity on May 5th: I Love My Park Day

I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather! Oh, this just came up: Show your appreciation for our Riverbank State Park and its programs by volunteering for "I Love My Park Day" this Saturday. The following is more information about the volunteering opportunity.

Project 1:Beautification of the park by removing unwanted weeds around the complex buildings that house aquatics, athletics, maintenance and cultural. Sweep up leaves and debris. Clean all outer windows Put all debris in plastic bags for removal. Plant flowers around the raised planters where trees are. Bag all debris for pick up. All ages welcome. Please bring water and snack. Wear work clothes

Project 2: Remove twigs and debris round aquatics complex - Clean windows. Remove twigs and debris round pool lawn trim grass area .Bag all debris. Stage and paint shellac sea-rails. Paint rails around the track and field. All ages welcome. Please bring water and snack. Wear work clothes

Project 3:Beautifying the Park Remove weeds from around raised planters; boarders and planters -Clear drains put debris in bags - Remove weeds along the raised planters - Remove debris from service road grass area leading to 138th - Street (along the highway) remove all debris. Add flowers, along roadway flower beds. Trim hedges around the tennis court area. All ages welcome. Please bring water and snack. Wear work clothes

Important Message about the Show & the Minutes from March 11, 2018


Team--
  1. The last practice before the show is on this Thursday at 4 PM - 5:30 PM and 8 PM - 9 PM
  2. This Saturday, On the day of the show, skaters must be at the rink no later than 3:30 PM
  3. Our Pot Luck Celebration is scheduled for this Sunday!! We will set up while the team is on the ice. The team is being tested on Sunday. Our celebration will start as soon as they finish up. Please bring something to share. Shelly will sent out a Google Doc with sign-up slots. 
  4. Everyone needs to contribute $40 to cover the opening number outfits and other expenses for the show and the party - If you have already paid the fee, thank you.
