Please welcome our new coach Aaron Singletary!

Team--

We are extremely thankful to our park and rink administration for their support in securing a figure skating coach for our Thursday practice hours. Please welcome Arron Singletary.

Aaron Singletary

Aaron Singletary grew up in Pennsylvania skating for Penguin Figure Skating Club and started his national competitive career training with Craig Maurizi. Over the years Singletary has had many internationally revered coaches and singling one or two would be a disservice to the others. Each left a prominent mark on his approach to skating. Aaron earned gold in moves-in-the field as well as freestyle singles. Aaron now coaches primarily in Newburgh, NY at Ice Time Sports Complex. His students include National medalists Jacob Sanchez and Olivia Alexander. He dreams to further his knowledge so that one day he too may be at internationally recognized performer and coach. The 2019 Home season marks his debut with Ice Theatre of New York.

    Team Members and Parents:

What excitement! In the following weeks we have many events taking place and we are in the home stretch.

Our end of season dress Rehearsal is this Saturday, March 7, 2020.  Our End of Season Show is Saturday March 14, 2020 and our yearly Trophy Ceremony is on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 6 pm.

As we start to prepare for the end of season festivities and excitement there are few loose ends we need all team members and families to assist with:
    •  All Parents that completed the Safe Talk Training – please bring your certificates in on March 14, 2020.  We need to have them on-site before we allow anyone entry into the locker rooms.
    •   All skaters should bring their outfits in a neat organized fashion, especially if you are under the age of 12 and will be “without a parent” in the Safe Sport locker room.   We suggest the following set up, for each outfit.  (see picture)

    •  We will give 2 free show tickets for each family! please get your tickets from our treasurer, Shelly, this weekend.
    • We will be collecting  funds this weekend to provide our hardworking coaches gift of gratitude for all they have done for our children during the season and to support our Trophy Celebration festivities.   You are welcome to donate more, but we encourage all families to donate $20 per skater.   All funds are to be collected by our treasure, Shelly.
    • We are looking for a Master of Ceremony (MC) with Darcel’s absence, we need a MC to help introduce the team at the show.  If you have a lifelong dream of being a MC please speak to Je, this is your chance to have that moment.
    • Our club’s Instagram account (@RiverbankFSC) is now live! Post your favorite skater’s photo and mention @RiverbankFSC and/or #RiverbankFSC :-) Social Media is a great tool to get more people interested in our team, keep the team connected with old members and for our young ladies to share their amazing skating skills with the world! LOL!

Thank you in advance for all your hard work and dedication to the team.
