Holiday Show Costume Options

Team--

Please get in touch with board members or Darcel ASAP if you haven't been receiving emails about the Christmas Show.

  • Jennifer purchased the Santa Hats for the whole team and she's looking into the Red Scarfs.
  • HK is volunteering to make customized skirts for the show.  Majority of the team already have the skirts.
  • See below note from Abigail about additional items for the holiday show.

<<Origina Note from Abigail, our Head Coach>>

Hi everyone!

Great practice this weekend and knocking out the show number!! Hopefully, everyone remembers it :)

I wanted to discuss costume options.

I think it would be great to bring back the fringe gold skirts with the long sleeve back unitard and tan tights. I also think we should add a Santa hat (maybe use bobby pins to hold it down). Even adding a red scarf would be awesome might that might be hard to find enough of those.

Does anyone have a picture of the outfit that you could send to the group so our new team members could see it? (Jennifer sent this out to the team)

Please let me know if:

  • Anyone is NOT doing the show. It would be great if we could borrow your skirt.
  • If you are new and need a skirt.

You can order the tights and long sleeve unitard or go by a dance store. The show is the 8th so this gives us another weekend to work on the costumes.

Thanks,

Abigail

2018-2019 Season Starts on November 10th

[The following note and date has been updated.  Please note that there is no skating on November 3rd and 4th due to warm weather]

Team--

The skating season starts next Saturday. This will be a great skating season: We have new families joining our club, new parent committee positions were added and filled, an earlier skating time on Thursdays are now available, and majority of our skaters coming back for another amazing skating season.

2017-2018 season was fantastic and I am sure we will have a even better time this year, creating the best possible experience for our team members.

IMPORTANT:

Please bring the proof of ISI membership, showing the membership number to Abigail. If your skater needs to sign up, visit: https://www.skateisi.org/membership/

Instruction from Abigail: Please make sure you come ready to skate.

  • Bring a water bottle that you can keep on the side of the rink.
  • It gets cold so please dress appropriately.
  • One thing that's super important this year, is all skater's hair must be up and out of the skaters face. If a skater is on the ice with their hair down, the other coaches or I will ask them to leave the ice until it's up.

Team Schedule

Please check our club blog for any change in schedule. It has been updated with the weekend skating hours and the first parent meeting. Other scheduled events ( e.g. parent meeting schedule and holiday party, holiday show) will be posted soon.

<< Notification from Jennifer >>
Team,

Hope everyone had a fabulous summer!

It will be nice to regroup and see everyone on Saturday at 3:30pm for our pre-season meeting. We will meet on the terrace at the rink. Please be sure to bring something to eat and/or drink to share. If you know what you are bringing, please reply all to avoid a lot of duplicates. We will vote in the 2018/2019 Parent Board for the season on Saturday. The positions are listed in the agenda. Please start to think about what role you would like to be considered for. If you aren't able to attend but would like to be considered for a role, please reply all with your name and the position.

Yes! The rink will be open for roller-skating on Saturday. Don’t forget socks if you are renting skates. If you need a parking pass for the upcoming season, please e-mail me. I will get a list together and get them all done at once. If you need one for Saturday, go to the gate agent on the upper level. He/she will give you one for the day. Is there anyone who does NOT want their contact information (e-mail, phone number and child’s name) shared with the team? If you do NOT want to be included on the team contact list, please let me know. Otherwise, I will assume you are ok with your contact info being on a shared team list.

The meeting agenda is attached. Please feel free to e-mail any additional topics you think should be discussed. We will have print-outs on Saturday.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Jennifer

Team Picnic - July 1, 2018

Hi All,

The team picnic was a super fun. There were lots of food, water guns and balloons.  It was especially nice that kids were so happy to see one another and got to meet new skating members.  Here are some photos that we received from Angelina's family.
